Anna Mestre

I received my professional Architecture degree from the School of Architecture in Barcelona (ETSAB) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Master in Project Management in Building and Urban Planning from the Professional Association of Technical Architects of Barcelona (Colegio de Aparejadores y Arquitectos Técnicos de Barcelona). My interest in structures led me to working as a scholar in the Structures Department during university.

Since 2001 I has developed my professional career at BOMA, a Structures Consultancy, first in the office in Barcelona, and since 2007, in the office in Madrid. The company, today BAC Engineering Consultancy Group, is the result of the merger of two engineering consultancy groups, BOMAINPASA and CICSA, creating a strong company capable to compete globally. As Team Leader, she has been the Madrid office coordinator since 2013.

I have been teaching Structural Types and Calculation in the IE School of Architecture and Design since 2009, Physical Foundations since 2013 and Mathematics in Art and Architecture since 2015, happily been awarded Teaching Excelence in the past three years. I have been leading the Internship program for five years, placing students in top host firms and institutions to combine learning and professional experience. I also collaborate in the Advisors program.
