I am a secondary school math/accounting teacher in Toronto, Ontario. I obtained my BBA and BIS degree at St. Francis Xavier University, in Nova Scotia, Canada. From there I went on to obtain my B.Ed and M.Ed in Education at the University of Toronto. Currently I am a PHD Candidate at the University of Toronto, focusing on teacher’s perceptions of the flipped classroom in secondary math education. I have been teaching for 14 years in the mathematics and accounting streams. My professional interests include, technology and experiential learning in education. I currently adopt the flipped classroom in my grade 10 math course. Starting next year, I plan on implementing a flipped classroom in my accounting classes. I have presented my finding on the flipped class at a conference in Hawaii, and will presenting at a catholic secondary school conference later this year in the are of flipped classrooms in mathematics.
