Elisabetta Marigo

I’ve been teaching English as a second language for more than 20 years now in secondary high state schools in Italy. I took a University degree in foreign languages (English and German) in the far late 80ies and since then I have devoted my professional efforts in finding better and more engaging ways to involve students actively in the teaching learning process. So I attended many different courses in the field of didactics and technology. I’ ve been language  department coordinator in the different schools I’ve been teaching and this year I have been proposed as a superintendent for the competence and assessment area in my school by the principal. The Italian school and teacher recruitment systems are far more different from the USA ones, so it is hard to define and compare the different roles in an Italian school with other countries. I’ve been using the flipped class methodology for 5 years now and I’ve organized an educational blog “The Digital Classroom” emarigo.blogspot.com  a digital space where I  post my flipped lessons and my students’school blogs. Tiziana Saponaro who teaches in the same school is my mentor
