I have a BS in Computer Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Education from Colorado State University. I recently completed a Master’s Certificate in Computer Science Education from the College of St. Scholastica. I have been teaching high school for 11 years, 4 years as a physical science teacher and 7 years as a Computer Science teacher. I program for fun, and I see myself as a Teaching Engineer. I am constantly tweaking how I do things and trying new strategies. I love all things tech, and one of my goals over the last year has been to automate the “busy work” that I have to do so that I can focus more on building relationships with my students. Flipped learning is the perfect opportunity for me to free up instruction time so that I can do more active learning in class and interact more with students.
