I have been a high school math teacher since my first child was born in 2001. Teaching is my second career. Prior to teaching in Public School, I did corporate training for several Fortune 500 companies. I traveled the world teaching user end software applications, leadership, management, ergonomics, and much more. Eventually, I remembered my real passion and went back to school for my teaching degree. Now I teach high school math, Algebra and Geometry for a little school district about half way between Albany and New York City. I love it. I really believe it to be my calling. The kids are great (most of the time) and I have more control, more freedom and more fun than any corporate training job… just not more money :(. My Flipped Algebra classroom is getting better and stronger each year I work on it. I can never go back. I wish I had known about this back during my corporate days! What a difference!
