I started my career as a support staff working closely in an in-house built LMS team, developing training programme for our staff; through my involvement in the support and training, I was also able to provide directions and design for the development of our LMS. Almost 16 years later, I moved to a learning designer role with a technology focus. I work closely with staff in the use of technologies in their courses, providing support and guidance for staff, encouraging and supporting better course design and considerations for student experiences. I don’t have student students, I teach staff about learning technologies, I work as a Digital Learning Specialist for The University of Auckland Business School, that is also where I have obtained my BA/BCom and PGDipCom (Marketing) from. I’m also enrolled in the MET (Master of Educational Technology) programme with the University of British Columbia, starting in September 2017.
