I have just completed my eighth year of teaching math in middle school. I have experience teaching grades four to eight and have taught general mathematics, pre-algebra, and algebra.I also have experience teaching reading and language arts. I have two years of teaching experience in Illinois (Chicago and Calumet City), and six years experience in Connecticut (East Hartford and Clinton). I have also taught at charter schools during summer school programs. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from DePaul University in Chicago; a master’s degree in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University, and a sixth year degree from Sacred Heart University. I have a middle school mathematics certification in Connecticut, as well as an administrative certification. I am also currently applying for a certification in secondary education mathematics. My ultimate goal is to become an administrator of some sort, and I have also been looking for more opportunities to speak at professional development workshops or conferences on the flipped classroom.
