Stephen Wightman

I teach English to students aged 6-16 in Tokyo, Japan as an ALT (assistant language teacher) and train / supervise about 30 ALTs in Tokyo. I have been doing so for over 10 years and am looking for ways to improve my teaching skills. I hold a BSc (Genetics) and a TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) certificate.

The education system at public schools has become stagnant but with the Olympics coming in 2020, change is in the air. Methods such as the flipped classroom show a lot of promise in my field.
